Seasonal Closure Announcement

All Yellowstone National Park entrances and park roads are now temporarily closed in preparation for the winter season, EXCEPT for the road between the North Entrance and Northeast Entrance (open year-round, weather permitting).

The North Entrance is OPEN! Visitors can enter through the historic Roosevelt Arch, then take Old Gardiner Road directly into Mammoth.

Conditions permitting, all other entrances and roads are projected to open to oversnow travel by snowmobile and snowcoach at 8:00 AM on December 15.

While you're here, go for a swim in one of our indoor pools (at Gray Wolf Inn & Suites, Yellowstone Park Hotel, or Holiday Inn® West Yellowstone), play in the game room (at Holiday Inn® or Yellowstone Park Hotel), roast s'mores over the fire (at Explorer Cabins at Yellowstone, Gray Wolf Inn & Suites, and Yellowstone Park Hotel) and more.

We also have a camp host at the Explorer Cabins at Yellowstone who provides activity information, Yellowstone National Park and area information, binoculars, walking sticks, yard games, and more. The camp host is available from 8 AM - 10 PM from May 15 - September 15.
